For their attendance at last year’s World Petroleum Congress, Chevron hired us to create a concept around the premise of a large booth with three 25’ video walls. In response, my team came up with a way to allow the attending public to actually influence the content on the screens by simply using their proximity to the screens. Using XBOX Kinect Cameras and custom software, we created three levels of interaction at nine, six, and three feet distances and used geometric formulas to estimate the amount of content to be displayed.
